Compare QR event passport platforms by what happens after someone scans, not by the appearance of the QR code. The important work is connecting the participant to the right activity, applying completion rules and updating progress. A code generator that opens a static page cannot do that by itself.
This guide is published by StampRise, one of the products discussed. It is a use-case shortlist, not an independent ranking or hands-on benchmark. Competitor descriptions were checked against the official pages linked below on 3 October 2026. Confirm current plan inclusions, pricing and workflow details directly with each provider.
A product may use a QR code simply to open an event or download an app. That does not necessarily mean each station has the completion workflow you need. Ask the provider to demonstrate both joining and completing a booth activity, then show what the organiser sees in the report.
Check whether a participant's next action is obvious. If an additional answer or staff confirmation is required, the screen and signage should say so. Avoid promising that “every scan earns a stamp” when the configured activity has more conditions.
StampRise provides browser-based Digital Event Passports with QR stations, supported activities and reward rules. It is a relevant candidate for a focused scan-to-activity journey. Check the actual access and activity configuration rather than assuming that all station types behave in the same way.
Scavify's event passport page explicitly describes QR code experiences, booth challenges, sponsor activation and engagement analytics. Include it when comparing products that market QR passports directly. Ask how completion is checked and how the chosen participant access method works at your venue.
Goosechase describes mission-based event passports and scavenger hunts, with participants able to join through an app or browser. Its conference page mentions sharing a QR code, link or join code. That establishes an entry option, not proof that every mission uses the exact station-level QR verification your event requires. Request that demonstration.
EventMobi describes passcode-based gamification and exhibitor challenges within its event app. Consider it when those mechanics fit your wider event setup. Do not label a passcode challenge identical to a QR station workflow without checking the actual experience.
Use printed signs at the intended size and distance. Test lighting, contrast, camera access and venue reception. Try scanning twice and returning after closing the browser. Check whether the platform gives a useful explanation when an activity is incomplete or an access requirement has not been met.
Consider link sharing as well. An ordinary public QR link can be forwarded, so a scan is not absolute proof of a physical visit. Choose a supported verification approach appropriate to the stakes, and explain its limits. More controls can add staff work, so test them under realistic conditions.
Ask about participant capacity, staff roles, reporting, support and event duration. Confirm browser and app feature availability where both are offered. Avoid assuming that a feature shown on a general product page is included in your quote. Review privacy and accessibility alongside the scanning experience, not after procurement.
If the central requirement is a browser-based Passport linking useful booth activities, include StampRise in your pilot. Run the same small route on each finalist and choose based on observed behaviour. The right platform should make the scan feel like a clear next step, not the start of a support conversation.

Can I build a passport with a QR code generator alone?
A generator can create links, but it does not by itself manage participant progress, activity completion or reward eligibility. Those require an application or a separate process.
Does a QR scan prove that someone visited a booth?
Not necessarily. Public links can be shared. Use an appropriate supported verification method when physical interaction matters, and be clear about what the recorded action establishes.
