The digital passport that carried one trade show across three cities
Kiwi North Australia · Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane · 25 to 27 August 2026
At Kiwi North, Australian travel advisors carried a digital passport through a room of 79 New Zealand tourism operators. One scan at the door, a stamp at every table, rewards as the card filled. The same event code ran all three nights of the roadshow. No app download, straight from the phone browser.
The challenge
Get advisors past the operators they already know
Kiwi North puts Australian travel advisors in a room with up to 120 New Zealand regions, accommodation providers, experience operators and airline partners. Doors open at 5:30pm and close at 9:00pm.
Three and a half hours is not long enough to meet 79 exhibitors, so advisors do what people do. They find the brands they already sell, settle in with a glass of wine, and the operators further from the door have a quiet night.
The play
A passport that turns the room into a lap
Every advisor got a Kiwi North passport in their phone browser the moment they scanned in at the door. Each of the 79 exhibitors carried their own code at their table. Scan it, and a stamp landed on the card instantly.
Rewards unlocked as the card filled, so advisors always knew what the next few tables were worth. The same event code ran Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with no rebuild between nights.
How it worked
From door scan to reward counter
Scan at the door
Advisors scanned a single QR on arrival and the passport opened in their phone browser. No app, no download, no account setup holding up the registration desk.
A stamp at every table
All 79 exhibitors had their own code at their station. Advisors scanned as they moved, and the stamp appeared on the card straight away.
Rewards as the card filled
Rewards unlocked at stamp thresholds, so there was always a reason to reach the next few tables rather than stopping at the first familiar face.
One card, three cities
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane ran on the same event code across three consecutive nights. Nothing was rebuilt between cities and nothing was reset on the road.
On the road
Three cities, three nights, one event code
Most gamification tools assume one venue on one date. Kiwi North is a roadshow, and the team was in a different city every night for three nights running, between flights, with no time to rebuild anything.
Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane all ran on the same StampRise event. The stations, rewards and branding stayed exactly as configured, and the team walked into each venue with the setup already done.
The results
What three nights of Kiwi North passports delivered
231 advisors joined the passport across the three city roadshow, with zero app downloads required.
5,386 stamps collected gave exhibitors a measurable record of real table traffic, not estimates.
23 stations visited per advisor on average, inside a three and a half hour window.
108 rewards claimed across the roadshow, with Brisbane the most engaged of the three cities.
Every one of those numbers happened in the phone browser. Not a single advisor had to install an app.
“We spent a long time looking for the right provider for what we were looking for, something that was simple to use, easy to implement and could scale easily based on size. All other options were around 10x the price for what we needed, and this tool had the right amount of functionality we wanted and unexpected extras we were able to incorporate.”
