How Do I Get Attendees to Visit Every Exhibitor?

StampRise Team

Encourage attendees to visit exhibitors by offering useful activities, a route they can understand and enough time to complete it. If your objective is a visit to every stand, first check whether that is realistic. A full circuit can work for a compact event but become impractical at a large exhibition.

1. Calculate the time needed

Estimate activity duration, walking and likely queues. As a hypothetical example, twelve activities taking three minutes each already require 36 minutes before walking or waiting. Compare that with the actual free time in the programme. Do not advertise a route people can only finish by skipping the meaningful interactions.

2. Decide what coverage should mean

There are two different objectives: every participant visiting every exhibitor, and exhibitors receiving opportunities across the participant population. A full circuit targets the first. Smaller participant routes can support the second. Discuss the distinction with exhibitors before selling the activation.

If the full circuit is unrealistic, offer a manageable requirement or an appropriate assigned set. Explain the policy clearly. Do not promise equal footfall just because assignments are balanced.

3. Give every booth a relevant activity

Ask exhibitors for a short demonstration, useful question or practical takeaway. State the expected duration and completion method. Brief all staff shifts, including replacements. An attractive reward can generate interest, but it cannot make an irrelevant or unavailable activity useful.

Keep entry signs and QR posters visible without blocking aisles. Provide assistance for participants who cannot comfortably use the digital route, and consider physical accessibility when choosing station locations.

4. Configure the Passport around the objective

StampRise connects station activities, progress and reward requirements in a browser-based Digital Event Passport. Test the exact eligibility configuration instead of assuming that a total-stamp threshold necessarily enforces a particular list of stations.

For compatible individual Passports, assigned stations give participants fixed requirements from a selected pool. Optional visits do not replace outstanding assigned requirements. This is not the same as a visiting order, and it is not interchangeable with team or treasure hunt modes.

5. Explain completion and rewards upfront

Tell participants how many activities they need, which requirements are specific and when participation closes. Distinguish a guaranteed benefit from Lucky Draw entry. Explain the collection process and available assistance. Avoid announcing new requirements after people have started working towards the advertised goal.

Test a participant who is almost eligible, not just one who completes everything. That reveals confusing rules before the prize desk becomes busy.

6. Plan for an unavailable booth

Agree who handles exceptions and how participants are informed. Assigned configuration freezes after real assignments begin; use the supported unavailable-station replacement workflow rather than casually rewriting existing requirements. Preserve already completed credit.

Monitor queues and signage during the event. Improving an invitation or staffing a busy activity may help more than adding further incentives.

Evaluate coverage honestly

Review station participation alongside exhibitor observations. Report which activities were completed, not an unsupported claim that every person visited every booth. Use the booth tracking guide for measurement and the trade show solution for the overall workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can StampRise guarantee visits to every exhibitor?

No. It can structure requirements and encourage participation. Visits still depend on relevance, time, accessibility, promotion and staffing.

Are assigned stations a compulsory visiting order?

No. Assigned requirements specify activities to complete, not a sequence. A clue-based hunt is a different format.

Should large exhibitions require a full circuit?

Only if it is genuinely feasible. A smaller relevant route may create more useful interactions than a rushed scan at every booth.
