Badges: Badge template
How organisers set it up
- 1
Choose the badge information
Use only the fields needed on the visible badge. Check that names, organisations and any intended credential fit the template and remain readable.
- 2
Configure templates and variants
Prepare the supported layout and applicable conditional template rules. Verify that the rules target the intended Event and registration fields.
- 3
Test actual output
Use the supported export or print path with the actual device, stock and dimensions. Rehearse reprints and review the physical result rather than relying on an on-screen preview.
What participants experience
At the relevant stage, an authorised operator prepares or prints the participant's badge using the supported registration record. Staff should verify the printed name and any scannable credential before handing it over.
Settings and controls
Template and output
Confirm the supported format and printer integration for the event. Do not assume arbitrary hardware can print directly from a browser without setup.
Print confirmation
Queued, claimed, accepted and physically verified states represent different stages. Check lost or delayed jobs before creating a second physical badge.

Sample scenario for explanation only. This is not live product data, a screenshot, or a real registration or draw.
Scenario: A registration desk prepares a delegate badge.
Reporting
Use the print history and job state to review operations. An accepted bridge job still requires physical verification. Badge printing should not silently be counted as confirmed Event admission unless the intended admission action also occurred.
Limitations and boundaries
- Hardware readiness requires a physical test; a website illustration cannot verify a printer.
- Do not print unnecessary sensitive registration answers on a visible badge.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Not necessarily. The bridge may accept the job before a physical output has been verified.
The supported template and conditional-variant controls can select an appropriate configured layout. Test the exact rules and fields before the event.
