Event registration: Registration page opens

How organisers set it up

  1. 1

    Agree the scope

Ask about registration eligibility and assisted setup. Define forms, expected capacity, payment needs and on-site operations before committing to a workflow.

  2. 2

    Prepare the registration journey

Configure the relevant forms, categories, communications and admission settings. Saving a form draft does not publish it to the public.

  3. 3

    Connect and test the handoff

If participants should receive Passport access, configure the correct trigger and test it. Include unpaid, waitlisted and returning participants rather than only a successful confirmation.

What participants experience

The participant uses a published hosted or embedded registration form, follows any applicable payment or invitation steps and receives the appropriate confirmation. They may later check in and continue to a configured Passport. Confirmation, Event admission and Passport participation are distinct states.

Settings and controls

Optional module

Registration does not replace the core Passport experience or require every organiser to move away from their existing ticketing platform.

Event landing pages

An enabled Event landing page can present approved published content and configured destinations. Draft changes and publication are distinct, and destinations must belong to the intended Event.

Registration reports

Use module-specific reports for registrations, capacities and admissions. Do not substitute Passport participant counts for the registration population.

Illustrative guided walkthrough

See how Event Registration could play out

Sample scenario for explanation only. This is not live product data, a screenshot, or a real registration or draw.

Scenario: A conference enables registration and links an approved Passport.

Step 1 of 3

Register

A participant completes the published form and any required payment.

Reporting

Review registrations, payment states and admissions in their relevant views. A registration is not automatically a Passport participant, and a paid booking is not proof that someone checked in. Share only the information each operational role needs.

Limitations and boundaries

  • Registration is optional and subject to eligibility and assisted scope.
  • Registration confirmation does not bypass Passport access rules or establish physical attendance.
