Watch a video: Video starts at the station

How organisers set it up

  1. 1

    Choose a suitable video

Use a concise YouTube video that participants are allowed to access. Confirm captions, sound requirements and suitability for the venue.

  2. 2

    Paste the normal link

Add the regular YouTube or share URL in Watch Video. You do not need to author an embed URL or manually provide the video duration.

  3. 3

    Test the full station

Check mobile playback, connectivity and any activities before or after the video. Do not assume that reaching an iframe's end alone creates a stamp.

What participants experience

Participants open the station and watch within the supported player flow. Playback progress and the station's other requirements are checked before completion. Pauses and network buffering are part of the real device experience, so allow enough time in the event programme.

Settings and controls

Activity sequence

Place the video in a sensible order alongside questions or tasks, so participants know why they are watching.

Content accessibility

Use captions and clear visuals where possible. A busy exhibition floor may not be a good place for a long audio-dependent presentation.

Illustrative guided walkthrough

Sample scenario for explanation only. This is not live product data, a screenshot, or a real registration or draw.

Scenario: A booth offers a short introduction followed by a quiz.

Step 1 of 3

Open

The participant opens the station and sees the video activity.

Reporting

Use recorded activity and station completion as evidence that the configured process was completed. Do not describe it as authenticated watch time, guaranteed learning or proof that the participant paid attention throughout.

Limitations and boundaries

  • Supported setup uses YouTube links, not arbitrary hosted video files.
  • YouTube player telemetry and browser behaviour cannot establish tamper-proof viewing evidence.

Frequently asked questions

The organiser setup uses a normal supported YouTube link rather than asking you to provide API credentials.

No. The checks are best-effort and must not be represented as proof of attention.
