Team competition: Teams ranked by combined stamps
How organisers set it up
- 1
Choose the team format
Enable the supported team configuration before the activity begins. Use meaningful team names and check the intended joining process.
- 2
Explain the competition
Describe the scoring and participation rules in plain language. Test the leaderboard's team view rather than assuming it behaves like the individual ranking.
- 3
Test entry and progress
Try a participant who has joined a team and one who has not. Team requirements must be satisfied before the applicable stamp-minting flows proceed.
What participants experience
Participants follow the configured team entry or joining flow and complete station activities. Their recorded activity contributes according to the event's team configuration. Staff should help people find the correct team instead of encouraging duplicate participant registrations.
Settings and controls
Membership and activity gates
Team mode can require a team before stamps are issued. Configure and communicate that requirement consistently across activity entry points.
Competition design
Consider team size and opportunity before describing a contest as fair. Do not imply that the system automatically normalises every difference in group size.

Sample scenario for explanation only. This is not live product data, a screenshot, or a real registration or draw.
Scenario: A corporate event invites colleagues to complete a Passport in teams.
Reporting
Use the relevant participant and team views to interpret progress. Group scores measure the configured activity model, not team productivity or an independent assessment of collaboration.
Limitations and boundaries
- Assigned-station routes are an individual-Passport feature and must not be advertised as compatible with this team mode.
- Confirm the supported mode combinations rather than promising every hunt and competition setting can run together.
